Mr.Charles articulated paper puppet figure for ArtJaws/Hey!Magazine Tattoo Art show in Paris. Mr.Charles was a real man from the early 1900s who lived in France from shipwrecked Burma where "savage natives" used him as a canvas because of his white smooth skin. *Stories like this were commonly fabricated and used by performers, artists, carnies covered in tattoos as a way to exist within strict conservative Victorian society.
